Position Overview:
The Coordinator of Accounting Services is responsible for the provision of accounting services, specifically accounts receivable and accounts payable, to City departments as well as local boards who wish to obtain services from the City. This position is responsible for Corporate analytical support and business process review and solutions as they relate to financial management systems; including ensuring internal controls are in place to manage risk associated with these activities.

You have a proven track record of leadership success in a progressive work environment that focuses on financial management. Your strong analytical and decision-making skills, financial management capabilities, report writing, financial statement analysis and presentation skills complement your ability to collaborate and consult effectively with internal and external partners. You have a CPA designation, and/or a University degree, preferably in Business or Accounting.
Your education is complemented by a minimum of five (5) years of municipal finance or job-related experience, with at least two (2) years in a supervisory/managerial capacity. Experience working with financial management systems, databases and spreadsheets is required. (SAP experience will be considered an asset.)
