Reporting to the Manager of Fleet Services & Operations Centre, the Corporate Fleet Business Improvement Specialist will be working with a consultant to develop the City of Burlington’s Green Fleet Strategy. This position will support the implementation of Business Intelligence tools with a focus on implementing performance metrics to support business units in making data supported decisions that will drive operational efficiencies and reduce operating costs.
The Corporate Fleet Business Improvement Specialist will:
Support the development of the Green Fleet Strategy update and plan for the implementation of actions related to the strategy and the City’s Climate Change Action Plan
Monitor and report the City’s achievements related to Green Fleet initiatives
Conduct product and technology research into assigned areas
Influence and build collaborative relationships with various City Departments/Services to help drive performance efficiencies through providing innovative analytics and insight through telematics and business intelligence tools as well as other sources of data as it relates to the Corporate Fleet
Degree of Diploma in Business Administration/Management, Economics, Supply Chain Logistics or a related field. 3-5 years’ experience in contract management, as well as experience negotiating with, and managing third party service providers. Experience developing key performance indicators and measures and/or experience in change management or continuous improvement. Experience working on environmental and sustainability issues preferably Fleet related.
