Location
This position will be required to work in person at various parks and on roads throughout the city. Successful candidates may be required to work daytime, evenings, weekends, holidays, and shift work.
Position Overview
Reporting to the Supervisor of Parks, the Equipment Operator position is responsible for the safe operation, maintenance and service of motorized vehicles and equipment related to park maintenance activities. This Equipment Operator position will perform a variety of tasks related to waste collection in parks and works 40 hours per week.

Requirements
You have a high school diploma, or equivalent, and demonstrated experience in park maintenance. A valid DZ driver’s license is required with an acceptable driver’s abstract (no more than three (3) driving related convictions or an accumulation of no more than three (3) demerit points in the previous three (3) years prior to the date of hire). Successful candidates may be required to work daytime, evenings, weekends, holidays, and shift work.
To be successful, you possess good judgment, time management, problem solving, and customer service skills. You must be comfortable with performing physical work in all weather conditions and have experience operating a variety of equipment and hand tools in a safe manner.
