Location
This position is eligible for a hybrid work model. When attending an event or meeting in person, your primary office location will be based out of City Hall, 426 Brant Street, Burlington, Ontario. Work location is subject to change at the discretion of the City due to operational demands.
Position Overview
Reporting to the Manager of Community Development this role is responsible to lead and/or direct planning strategies such as master plans, service strategies, needs assessments, feasibility studies, project planning and policy & procedures, business plans, operational reviews, performance measures and grant proposals. Initiates and maintains positive and effective relationships and networks with internal and external stakeholders to advance strategic priorities of the City of Burlington.

Requirements
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 4 years’ experience planning strategies and working with stakeholders to advance strategic priorities. The successful candidate will possess a 3-year post-secondary diploma or degree in Recreation, Social Sciences, Business Administration, Community Planning or a related field of study.
The successful candidate must hold or be willing to obtain IAP2 – 5-day course in Community Engagement, Facilitation, Project Management, Legal Knowledge – Agreement Creation & Implementation, Community Development, Facilitation Media Training
