Location
This position is required to work in person at various sites across the City. Work location is subject to change at the discretion of the City due to operational demands.
Position Overview
This position is responsible for maintaining clean, safe and available facilities. In one of the Arena/Pool or Community Centre portfolios, while providing welcoming, professional, and responsive customer service. This position is also responsible for opening/closing facilities and providing task direction and supervision to junior staff.
Responsibilities
As an important member of the facility operations section, you will be responsible for the following (including but not limited to):
Requirements
Must be able to prepare written reports, read and comprehend policy documents, maintain a logbook and interact effectively with customers. Strong interpersonal, customer service and basic computer skills are required. WHMIS, C.P.R. and First Aid certification required. Must demonstrate that this has already been completed or that you will complete it as a condition of employment. Experience working with thermostats, timers, safety equipment, enunciating panels, industrial equipment (i.e. carpet cleaners) and building security key pads preferred.
A valid Class G driver’s licence is required with an acceptable driver’s abstract (no more than three (3) driving related convictions and an accumulation of no more than three (3) demerit points in the previous three (3) years prior to the date of hire).

This position requires the successful candidate to provide a clear criminal record check at their own expense.
