Location:
This position is eligible for a hybrid work model. When attending an event or meeting in person, your primary office location will be based out of Sims Square 390 Brant Street. Work location is subject to change at the discretion of the City due to operational demands.
Position Overview:
This position is responsible for the technical aspects of the corporate facility asset management program including the corporate facility asset management system, identification and costing of capital facility renewal needs. The Coordinator, Facility Asset Management is responsible for developing and maintaining condition assessment data on the City’s facilities, identifying renewal needs and monitoring of appropriate design and maintenance standards that would ensure that the City’s properties are designed, built and maintained in an effective and energy efficient manner and in compliance with the requirements of applicable legislation.

Requirements:
This position needs to have a good understanding of facility maintenance and capital renewal, generally gained through one of the following educational tracks: University degree in Architecture, Electrical, Mechanical, Structural or Building Sciences, Community College diploma in Architectural Technology, Facility Management. Project Management (PMP), Asset Management Professional Certification (IAM, CAMP) and or Professional Quantity Surveyor (PQS) designations are assets. Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in asset management, preferably in the public sector.
This position may require occasional travel between sites and/or City facilities and must provide own transportation (unless a City vehicle is available for use). A valid (G-Class) driver’s license is required with an acceptable driver’s abstract (no more than three (3) driving related convictions and an accumulation of no more than three (3) demerit points in the previous three (3) years prior to the date of hire).
